Denver Police search for driver in hit-and-run crash near Washington Park

The suspect vehicle was described as a black SUV that may have front-end damage

Denver Police are looking for a driver who fled a hit-and-run near Washington Park that left another motorist with serious injuries.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of South Downing Street and and East Arkansas Avenue, police said. The suspect was traveling southbound when they struck another vehicle that was stopped in traffic. The driver then fled the scene without stopping.

Police described the fleeing vehicle as a black “sport utility type vehicle.” It may have sustained significant to moderate damage on the front passenger side.
