Four people were injured and a 22-year-old man was arrested after a truck drove through the patio of an Adams County sports bar early Sunday morning, sheriff’s officials said.

The truck, a gray Chevrolet Silverado, drove off the right shoulder of Cortez Street, hit a guardrail, swerved back across Cortez Street and drove off the left shoulder into the patio area of Ugly Dog Sports Cafe, according to a news release from the Colorado State Patrol.

Agency officials said the truck hit four people — two men and two women — at 12:11 a.m. Sunday.

Paramedics took three of the victims to the hospital, where one man remains in critical condition. The two others, a man and a woman, suffered serious injuries, state patrol officials said.

The fourth victim took herself to the hospital with minor injuries.

None of the victims has been publicly identified.

The sports bar is just west of the intersection of Interstate 25 and U.S. 36.

The arrested driver, 22-year-old Raoul Villa from Lakewood, was not injured in the crash, state patrol officials said.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and investigators took Villa to a hospital for a blood test, according to state patrol officials.

Villa has not been charged, but he’s under investigation for three counts of vehicular assault while driving under the influence and three counts of vehicular assault with reckless driving, state patrol officials said.
