Nearly 150 flights were delayed Thursday at Denver International Airport after another morning of “low visibility” prompted a ground delay, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The ground delay started before 8 a.m. Thursday and lifted shortly after 9 a.m., . It delayed flights by an average of 40 minutes to an hour.
As of 9:20 a.m., 145 flights headed in and out of DIA had been delayed, and two had been canceled, according to flight tracking software .
Southwest delayed 67 flights, followed by 36 from United and 27 from SkyWest, a regional airline that operates United Express. Eight other airlines delayed one to five flights.
British Airways canceled both of its flights Thursday — one headed from Denver to London and one making the return trip.
