Man arrested after Arvada building maintenance discovers 29-year-old woman’s body in box

The Arvada Police Department arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a 29-year-old woman’s body inside of a black box next to a dumpster near an apartment building.

Daniel Ryan Clark was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County jail on Thursday on charges of tampering with a deceased human body, abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence, according to a police news release.

On Monday, Arvada police responded to the Perch Apartments, 7791 W. 52nd Ave., where a  maintenance worker found what appeared to be a human body inside a black box next to a dumpster.

Police determined the body was a 29-year-old woman. Police have not released the woman’s identity.

David Snelling, spokesman for Arvada police, said the case is under investigation and that homicide-related charges are under consideration.
