A motorcycle rider remains in the hospital with serious injuries after he was dragged at least a half mile down U.S. 6 near Golden after a crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The 47-year-old man was driving on the eastbound highway about 4 miles west of Golden at 7:21 p.m. Saturday when he lost control and slid into a Honda CR-V, the state patrol said in a news release.
He was ejected from the motorcycle, landed in the westbound lanes and was hit by an unknown vehicle, which dragged him for at least a half mile down the highway. The man was taken to the hospital and is still being treated, Trooper Hunter Matthews said Wednesday. No one has been arrested in connection with the crash.
Investigators are looking to talk to people who witnessed the crash or were traveling through the area between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and who may have hit debris in the road.
