The final suspect wanted in connection with the kidnapping and torture of two residents at Aurora’s Edge of Lowry apartments last year was extradited to Colorado over the weekend, police said Thursday.

Jorman Jose Cuba-Zabala, 26, was wanted by the Aurora Police Department on 12 felony charges — including kidnapping, aggravated robbery, menacing with a deadly weapon and extortion — in the Dec. 17 incident.

According to Aurora police, a group of suspected Tren de Aragua gang members kidnapped the couple from the courtyard of the since-shuttered apartment complex at 1218 Dallas St.

The man and woman were tied up in a vacant unit and tortured, threatened and extorted for hours, department officials said.

Cuba-Zabala was booked into the Arapahoe County jail on Saturday, more than five months after the district attorney’s office started the extradition process after his arrest for shoplifting in Chicago.

He is the last of 12 suspects to be arrested in the case and is being held on $250,000 bail.

Cuba-Zabala is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a preliminary hearing, records show.
