A man died and a woman was injured Monday night in a crash involving a dirt bike and a pickup truck in northwest Aurora, police said.
Aurora officers responded to the crash on East Sixth Avenue, between Vaughn and Toledo streets, at about 7:40 p.m. Monday, according to a from the police department.
Paramedics took the man driving the dirt bike and his passenger to the hospital, where the unidentified man later died, police said. As of Monday night, the woman remained hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will identify the man at a later date.
The pickup truck driver, who was not injured in the crash, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Sixth Avenue was closed for several hours during the crash cleanup and investigation, , according to the department.
No additional information about the crash, including the cause, was available Tuesday morning.
