
The Colorado driver in a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike that killed four teenagers over the weekend was charged Tuesday in their deaths, according to court records.
Christopher Neff, 41, faces four counts of aggravated manslaughter, four counts of vehicular homicide and multiple weapons charges for a gun and ammunition found in his car, according to .
Neff is accused of driving a Dodge pickup the wrong direction down the highway in Carneys Point Township, crashing head-on into the teenagers’ car. A semitrailer then hit the Mazda from behind, according to the .
The Sunday crash killed four people inside the Mazda: 19-year-old Yaakov Kilberg of Lakewood, N.J.; 18-year-old Aharon Lebovits of Lakewood, N.J.; 18-year-old Chaim Grossman of Fallsburg, N.Y.; and 18-year-old Shlomo Cohen of Lakewood, N.J..
As of Wednesday afternoon, Neff remained hospitalized from injuries he sustained in the crash, New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
Additional charges may be added as the investigation continues, Lebron said.
No additional information about the crash was available Wednesday. Neff’s next court date had not been scheduled.
