Nearly 700 flights were delayed and dozens were canceled Saturday at Denver International Airport after early morning snow dusted the metro area.
Roughly 0.2 inches of snow was recorded at the airport Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Flight tracking software showed 672 flights headed in and out of DIA were delayed on Saturday and 46 were canceled, according to flight tracking software .
No ground stops or ground delays were in effect Saturday afternoon and evening. Earlier in the day, planes departing the Denver airport were sprayed with deicing fluid to remove snow and ice, causing short delays on the runway, .
Southwest delayed the most flights on Saturday at 241, followed by 200 United flights, 126 SkyWest flights, 49 Frontier flights, 19 Delta flights and 17 American Airlines flights, according to FlightAware. Ten other airlines delayed between one and six flights.
United canceled 20 flights scheduled to leave or arrive at DIA on Saturday. Southwest canceled 12, Skywest canceled 11, American Airlines canceled two and Frontier canceled one.
Most of the delayed flights were trying to leave DIA, and most of the canceled flights would have arrived in Denver from other airports, according to FlightAware.
