Pedestrian killed in crash after running into traffic, State Patrol says

Crash happened Friday night on North Sheridan Boulevard and involved a Westminster city employee

After they ran into traffic Friday night, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a Westminster city employee driving a city-owned truck, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash happened in the 9400 block of North Sheridan Boulevard at 5:28 p.m. when a city worker driving a Ford F250 northbound hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene.

Witnesses told investigators the pedestrian ran into traffic, the State Patrol said in a news release. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the pedestrian’s name will be released by the Adams County coroner’s office.
