
Several inches of snow fell across the metro area early Sunday morning, and light snow is expected to continue in Colorado’s mountains through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

- 1.8 inches in Lakewood at 7 a.m.

- 2.1 inches in Wheat Ridge at 7 a.m.
- 2.2 inches in Arvada at 6 a.m.
- 2.5 inches in Sheridan at 7:09 a.m.
- 2.7 inches in Edgewater at 7 a.m.
- 2.5 inches in Denver at 7 a.m.
- 3 inches in Lone Tree at 7:18 a.m.
- 3.2 inches in Aurora at 7 a.m.
- 3.6 inches at Cherry Creek Reservoir at 7 a.m.
- 3.5 inches in Nederland at 6:45 a.m.
- 3.7 inches in Foxfield at 7 a.m.
- 3.9 inches in Castle Pines at 7 a.m.
- 4.5 inches in Parker at 10 a.m.
- 5.5 inches in Castle Rock at 8 a.m.
Snow totals were not immediately available Sunday for Colorado’s mountains, where snowfall is expected to continue through 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the weather service. Snow will pause overnight and resume early Monday morning, . The second wave of snow starting Monday is expected to continue into Tuesday afternoon on the state’s mountain passes and peaks.
In Denver, snow was forecast until 5 p.m. Monday, but minimal accumulation was expected after 6 a.m., according to the weather service. A trace to 1/2 inch of new snow was expected between 6 a.m. and the storm’s end, .
