A man was fatally shot in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood on Tuesday, police officials said.

Officers found the man with a gunshot wound in the 12400 block of East 42nd Avenue at 11:43 a.m., the Denver Police Department said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide and are working to develop information about a suspect, agency officials said.
