Woman shot, killed while driving in Aurora parking lot

No suspects had been publicly identified or arrested as of Monday, Aurora police said

Police are searching for suspects after a woman was shot and killed Saturday night while driving in a northwest Aurora apartment complex parking lot, officials said Monday.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman who has not been publicly identified, was shot in an apartment parking lot in the 15500 block of East 12th Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the police department.

After she was shot, the woman drove roughly a half-mile away and collapsed inside an unspecified business in the 15500 block of East Colfax Avenue while trying to get help, police said in the release. Paramedics took her to the hospital, where she died from her injuries later that night, police said.

The woman will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

As of Monday morning, no suspects had been publicly identified or arrested, police said.
