Colorado State’s first addition from the transfer portal for the 2026-27 season is Division II All-American and Colorado native Amondo Miller.

Miller, who began his collegiate career at Colorado, announced his commitment on social media Friday.

The transfer portal for Division I players doesn’t open until April 7 but is open for those in lower levels such as Division II.

The 6-foot-7 wing was named an All-American this past season at Lubbock Christian after averaging 21 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He shot 50% from the field and 36% from 3-point range and set program records for total points and average points in a season.

Miller started his career at Colorado in 2022-23, where he appeared in five games as a redshirt freshman. He moved on to Fort Lewis College for one season, where he averaged 6.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game before his two seasons in Lubbock.

He is a 2021 graduate of Valor Christian High School, where he averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as a senior.

Also Friday, sophomore guard Jase Butler announced he is returning to the team for his junior season in a post on social media.

This past season for the Rams, Butler averaged 9.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He shot 45% from the field and 41% from 3-point range and had the second-most free throw attempts on the team.

Butler came to CSU after his freshman season at Washington, although he didn’t see much playing time there. In his sophomore year with the Rams, he improved dramatically from the first game to the last. In nonconference play, he averaged 18 minutes and eight points per game. Since the beginning of February, he averaged 32 minutes and 12.6 points per contest.

He is the third CSU player to announce he is returning in the past couple of days. On Thursday, Kyle Jorgensen announced he will be back and Carey Booth did the same on Friday.
