Anete Adler was one of the best players in the Patriot League this season.

Now, the 6-foot-5 forward is heading to Boulder.

On Saturday, the Colorado women’s basketball team announced Adler is transferring to play her senior year with the Buffaloes.

“We’re excited to add Anete to our program,” head coach JR Payne said in a press release. “She brings a tremendous amount of experience and a strong presence in the post. She has a versatile skill set that allows her to impact the game in multiple ways, and I know that she will be a great fit here at CU.”

A native of Keila, Estonia, Adler averaged 15.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 blocks this season for the Terriers. She earned second-team All-Patriot League honors and was named to the league’s all-defensive team.

Twice this season, Adler scored 33 points, including in BU’s 76-66 loss to Navy in the Patriot League quarterfinals.

Adler played three seasons for BU, mainly coming off the bench in her first two seasons. In 63 games for the Terriers, she averaged 11.0 points and 4.5 rebounds. That included a game on Nov. 28, 2023, in Boulder, when she had seven points and two rebounds in the Buffs’ 85-55 victory.

Adler began her career at Rhode Island in 2022-23, averaging 4.5 minutes in 10 games played. That year, her roommate was Anaelle Dutat, who transferred to CU last summer and was one of the Buffs’ top players this season.

In addition to her accolades on the court, Adler earned Academic All-Patriot League honors this season.

Adler is the fifth transfer addition this offseason for the Buffs. She joins guards Brooke Walker, Aniya’ Foy and Mecailin Marshall and forward Kira Reynolds.

CU currently has 13 roster spots filled for next season.
