MINNEAPOLIS — Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will play in Game 4 of a first-round NBA playoff series against the Timberwolves, the team announced Saturday night.
Gordon missed Game 3 with left calf tightness. He was in and out of the lineup this season because of a recurring right hamstring strain. The Nuggets are 27-9 when he plays this year and 27-20 when he doesn’t, including a Game 3 blowout loss. They trail Minnesota in the series, 2-1.
“We’ll try to use him the way we would’ve used him anyway,” coach David Adelman said before opening tip. “I think that’s how you have to attack this. If he’s available, he’s available. But with the idea that the communication throughout the game is important with me, with the training staff. … We know how important Aaron is to our team. … If he’s able to go, the wise thing is to let him play. Play basketball. If there’s something to be talked about, talk to me. And we can go from there.”
