Two girls who were reported missing Tuesday in Arapahoe County after they were last seen in the early morning hours were later found safe, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

A 13-year-old and a 10-year-old were last spotted on foot near South Telluride Street and East Smoky Hill Road in Centennial at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to a missing person alert from state investigators.

In a CBI alert posted at 5:58 p.m. Tuesday, officials said the 13-year-old was found safe, but the 10-year-old was still missing. Another alert sent at 9:42 p.m. showed the 10-year-old was safely located, with at 10:02 p.m. announcing both girls were safe.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
