The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office ordered anyone between Crooked Creek Pass and the county line to .

Eagle County Emergency Management said someone reported a wildfire northeast of Ruedi Reservoir, near the line with Pitkin County, at about 1:27 p.m. Tuesday.

As of about 4:30 p.m., the fire was roughly 15 acres and threatened one structure. At that point, first responders couldn’t fight the fire because of high winds and challenging terrain, .

Initially, first responders evacuated the area between Brush Creek Road and Frying Pan Road. The order expanding the evacuation zone came at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
