All evacuation orders have been lifted, and Pinewood Springs residents can return home as firefighters continue to work a fire that sparked just north of the small mountain community in Larimer County.
The fire, named the Moose Mountain Fire, was estimated to have in the Roosevelt National Forest, southeast of Estes Park, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Amelia Huffman, a U.S. Forest Service spokesperson. Crews from multiple agencies worked to build fire containment lines, and a helicopter was used to fight the fire.
Pinewood Springs residents might still see smoke and flames coming from the fire, as firefighters on scene move partially burned material into the center of the fire area and let it burn, according to a .

Smoke from the fire could be seen from as far as Longmont on Friday afternoon.
