Max Levy is a breaking news reporter at The Denver Post. Before joining the Post in 2024, he wrote for Sentinel Colorado, based in Aurora, as well as the Loveland Reporter-Herald and the Holyoke Enterprise. Max fell in love with Colorado while studying journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder. When he's not on the breaking news desk, Max enjoys exploring Colorado's mountains and trails, and getting better at chess.

A woman allegedly involved in a motor vehicle theft ring died by suicide after shooting an Adams County sheriff's deputy in the hand during a standoff Thursday morning.
