It has been three years since the release of “Twitch IV,” but extreme kayakers Tao Berman and Josh Bechtel are definitely still getting their twitch on, teaming up with “No Big Names” video stars Ben Stookesbury and Eric Seymour to film the fifth installment of the series, recently released on DVD. The boys tackle some of the biggest waterfalls ever run, with first descent drops in Washington, Idaho, British Columbia, Alaska and Argentina that could very well cause convulsions. Producer Eric Link brings viewers inside the minds of these daring athletes through personal interviews that help you understand what they do in their kayaks, even if you don’t condone it. “Twitch V” ($29.95) also introduces “Wake Boating” – surfing and performing tricks in the wave created by two wakeboarding boats. DVD extras include the original “Twitch” video, the requisite carnage outtakes and a documentary by Omid Amjadi about Tao Berman called “Fearless.” Like swimming on a full stomach, however, don’t try to sleep for at least an hour after watching this one.
