Free fishing
As part of National Fishing and Boating Week, the Colorado Division of Wildlife will offer free fishing days June 4-5. Anyone may fish without a license those days on any public water in the state.
Fly-fishing class
The Division of Wildlife terms the class offered June 4 at its Colorado Springs office “Fly-Fishing 101.” The 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. session at 4255 Sinton Road cover the nuts and bolts of getting started in the sport. The agency will provide for the free segment, open to the first 25 who register. Phone 719-227-5200.
Park sites remain
Nine Colorado State Parks have campsites available for the Memorial Day weekend. As of Tuesday morning, these include Arkansas Headwaters, Crawford, Eleven Mile, Mancos, Ridgway, State Forest, Steamboat, Vega and Yampa. Call 303-470-1144 in the Denver area or 1-800-678-2267.
