The Daily Post in Britain reported that Ringo Starr criticized the proposed razing of 20,000 Merseyside homes in Liverpool, including his birthplace at 9 Madryn St.

“Why are they knocking them down? If it is economically viable they should do them up. Are they going to knock out the center of Liverpool again? That’s what they did before.”

Rows of terraced houses across northern England will be bulldozed as part of the plan. Paul McCartney turned his childhood home into a tourist attraction in 1998. John Lennon’s childhood home was donated to the National Trust by his widow, Yoko Ono.

An African-American staff member on “The Apprentice” claims in a federal lawsuit there is a hostile environment toward minorities on Donald Trump’s hit NBC reality series.

George Hogan said in a complaint filed in a Manhattan court there was a noose “hanging on the fourth floor, just steps from the boardroom.” Hogan does not believe the noose was used as a prop.

A secretary for producers of “The Apprentice” said no one was available for comment.

Bobby Brown says his wife, Whitney Houston, has successfully completed a second stint in rehab.

“I’m very confident,” Brown told “Access Hollywood” in an interview. “She’s my lady and she’s doing wonderful. Everything about her spirit right now is just great … we’re enjoying life again.”

In March, Houston checked into a rehabilitation center for the second time in a year.

Burt Reynolds apparently slapped a CBS-TV assistant producer in the face who asked about the remake of “The Longest Yard.”

“You don’t know anything about the movie?” Reynolds replied. The producer admitted he had not seen the movie or the original 1974 film. After the alleged slap, Reynolds asked, “What … kinda of guy are you?”

A spokesperson said Reynolds “playfully tapped (the producer) on the cheek. He was kidding.”

Was Lindsay Lohan too “loaded” for Disney?

Mothers at test screenings for “Herbie: Fully Loaded” complained of Lohan’s bouncy chest. Disney execs spent more than $1 million to digitally downsize Lohan’s chest and draw in higher necklines, Us Weekly reported. Lindsay’s rep scoffed at the report.

Renée Zellweger has her man and an Academy Award, but her dream came true Tuesday when she was given her own shiny star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“I used two rolls of film on just these stars alone,” the 36-year-old actress said of a 1988 trip to the tourist spot. “But I got to tell you that I never ever imagined a day like this or that I would be invited to be part of this legacy.”

Zellweger married country music star Kenny Chesney on May 9 and won an Oscar as best supporting actress for “Cold Mountain.”
