The woman who is accused of looting the homes of stars she worked for claimed she targeted the wife of Robert De Niro because she was so mean, the New York Daily News reported. Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz, 35, told police that if actress Grace Hightower had “treated me better, with more respect, I probably wouldn’t have done this.”
Turyk-Wawrynowicz, pictured above, is accused of taking a $95,000 pair of diamond earrings from Hightower, going on shopping sprees to Barneys using an unnamed employee’s credit card, and stealing a $1,000 suede coat and two cameras from former “Murphy Brown” star Candice Bergen.”
“I didn’t steal from Isabella Rossellini because she treated me well,” Turyk-Wawrynowicz told police after her arrest in June.
Singer Justin Timberlake accepted an apology and damages from a tabloid newspaper that falsely accused him of cheating on girlfriend Cameron Diaz with a British model.
The News of the World wrote that Timberlake had a fling with model Lucy Clarkson, leading to a July 2004 lawsuit. The tabloid also agreed to pay Timberlake’s legal costs. His publicist, Ken Sunshine, said money from damages would be donated to charity.
Victoria Gotti denied she lied about having breast cancer but acknowledged her diagnosis showed she had “precancerous cells.”
Gotti told the New York Daily News in its Sunday editions she had breast cancer and made similar comments Monday night on CNBC. She later noted it was a “noninvasive cancer” that required surgery.
The New York Post reported on what it called “Gotti’s sick cancer scam” Wednesday. Gotti, 42, told ABC that the Daily News article “was for the most part accurate. The reporter was not lying.”
Bo Bice underwent emergency surgery in Las Vegas on Aug. 19 to remove a blockage in his intestines. The singer missed an Aug. 18 concert as part of the “American Idols Live!” tour.
According to the website for his band, Sugarmoney, Bice will rest for a minimum of six weeks in his Alabama home.
Don Ho has been released from a Honolulu hospital, three days after he was admitted with shortness of breath, his spokeswoman said. Ho, 75, was being treated for an abnormal heart rhythm.

Ohio Rep. Kucinich weds 27-year-old Brit
Ohio congressman and 2005 presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich has married a third time. Kucinich, who said on the campaign trail he wanted a bride, married Elizabeth Harper, 27, a Brit who works for a monetary-policy think tank in Chicago. The ceremony was Sunday before about 250 guests outside City Hall in Cleveland, where Kucinich, 58, once served as mayor. Among the guests were Shirley MacLaine and Sean Penn.
