
Following the lead of the Oscars, the Emmys and the Golden Globes, Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado rewarded its top donors and volunteer stars by pouring on the glitz.
An Evening With the Stars offered a red-carpet entry with limousine arrivals and the incessant flashing of paparazzi cameras. Inside the Cable Center, emcee Les Shapiro asked for “the envelope, please” before announcing that Gary Wagner would be the recipient of the 2005 Ruth and Warren Toltz Young Leadership Award; Lisa Reckler Cohn would go home with the Charlotte Tucker Young Leadership Award; and Steve Morris was the first to receive AJF’s MVP Award.
Festivities wrapped up with a cocktail buffet catered by Epicurean.
