Louisville gives Schnellenberger big welcome
Howard Schnellenberger came to Louisville in the mid-1980s and revived a sagging program. He was back home Saturday, coaching at the stadium he helped build, watching the Cardinals win again. And this time, he could do nothing to stop it as coach of Florida Atlantic. His team lost 61-10. Schnellenberger was inducted into the University of Louisville’s athletic Hall of Fame on Friday night and the school named its football complex after him before Saturday’s game. “It was very touching,” Schnellenberger said. “I’ve always been treated better than I should’ve been here.”

Texas quarterback, junior: Rushed for 108 yards – the eighth time in his career he surpassed 100 yards and first this season – and passed for two touchdowns in the Longhorns’ 51-20 win at Missouri.
Adrian Peterson
Oklahoma running back, sophomore: Rushed for 51 yards and a TD before leaving with an injury in the second quarter.
