The No. 1-ranked Metro State women’s soccer team improved to 13-0 with a 1-0 win over St. Edwards of Austin, Tex., on Sunday. Kylee Hanavan scored off a penalty kick in the 41st minute as the Roadrunners won their 36th consecutive game, dating to last season.
The Metro State men’s team tied St. Edwards 0-0 to fall to 9-3-1.
Munnelly leads CU women’s soccer
The Colorado women’s soccer team defeated Northern Colorado 3-0 in Greeley.
Fran Munnelly scored her team-high seventh and eighth goals of the season, and has scored a goal in three straight games, with a goal or an assist in the past six.
Bears’ Gearhart wins No. 3 singles title
Northern Colorado’s Kollman Gearhart won the No. 3 singles crown at the Creighton Bluejay Invitational. He won the title match 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) over Nebraska-Kearney’s Andres Espinosa.
