Are we going to see Darrent Williams back returning kicks, or will that duty go away now that he is starting at cornerback?

— Abe Miller, Phoenix

It seems like he is the punt and kick returner until later in games, when the team wants him to stay fresh. When Williams is out, Charlie Adams takes over as the returner.

How come so many former Broncos seem to turn things around when banished to other teams? Deltha O’Neal, Brian Griese, etc.

— Dave Johnston, Aspen

You can say that about every team in the league. The Broncos’ roster has plenty of players who have been elsewhere. Does “Cleveland” ring a bell?

What’s the deal with Courtney Brown? He doesn’t seem to get to play much. When he has been in the game, good things seem to happen, but he appears to be used only about four or five times a game.

— Robert Prince, San Diego

Brown has been playing extensively the past month. After coming back from a dislocated left elbow that shelved him for six weeks, Brown has started the past four games. He had his best game as a Bronco in the win over New England.

Once again the Broncos have had a pretty good start, but the last few years they have failed down the stretch. What has the team done, if anything, to address this? I am tired of barely making the playoffs and then losing in the first round.

— Scott Urbach, Omaha

The Broncos believe they have more talent on defense, more patience on offense and more stability on special teams this year. There is also more depth on both sides of the ball. What I believe will keep Denver from fading is its defense. It starts with the great pressure from the front four. A team with that type of relentless pressure will stay competitive all season.
