Wyoming’s women’s soccer team scored its quickest goal of the season and cruised past Texas Christian 2-0 on Sunday in Laramie.

The Cowgirls’ Mercy Adetoye scored two first-half goals, including one in the seventh minute. Tamika Wilson took an Amanda Lathrop pass down the right sideline and centered the ball to Adetoye, who beat TCU goalkeeper Katy Buchanan to the left side on a one-on-one.

Wyoming’s Ashley Shepard, a sophomore, made two saves and recorded her third shutout of the season. Wyoming improved to 7-6-3 overall and 3-3 in the Mountain West Conference. TCU dropped to 6-9, 1-5.

Rangers get late goal to cap comeback

Regis’ men’s soccer team used a Lucas Grein goal in the 85th minute to beat visiting Colorado-Colorado Springs, 2-1. Grein’s game-winner, on an assist by Cody Berg, came 10 minutes after Berg tied the score with his seventh goal of the season. CU-Colorado Springs’ Jeff Moore scored in the 61st minute, with an assist by Brandon Best.
