My favorite subject is: History, because I love learning about the past.

My favorite athlete is: Michael Jordan.

My favorite team is: The Broncos, and I also like Notre Dame football.

What I listen to: Hip-hop and alternative.

The best thing on my training table is: My mom’s steak and potatoes.

Pregame ritual: We always have team meals, and for football I tape four of my fingers for each family member.

Time management tip: Try not to let things get down to the wire. Get ahead. Use the time in class to finish homework.

Planned career: Business or becoming a football coach.

My family: Parents Bob and Barb, sister Emily.

I would love to visit: Europe.

What I like most about high school sports: The camaraderie between players and coaches, the teamwork, the school and community support.

What I like least about high school sports: My pet peeve is the seasons run into each other.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
