Two Metro State women’s soccer players were named Thursday to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II All-America first team.

Kylee Hanavan, a junior, and Stephanie Prouty, a senior, were named to the first team. Amy Leichliter, a senior, was named to the third team.

It is the first time in Roadrunners history three players were honored as All-Americans in the same season. It is Hanavan’s second straight honor, after being named to the third team last year. Leichliter was a first-team member in 2003. It was Prouty’s first All-America award.

Regis sophomore defender Tara Kirkpatrick and senior forward Kate Murphy were third-team selections.
