
You would think as the queen of England you could decide the menu for your 80th birthday lunch yourself. But a new BBC TV series will gather 14 of the UK’s best chefs to find the “perfect” birthday lunch for Queen Elizabeth’s 80th birthday on June 15, Hello! magazine’s website reported. The series starts in April and airs every weekday evening for two months.
Janet Jackson reportedly has hired a personal trainer and gone on a strict diet of salads, fruit and bottled water, the New York Daily News reports.
Jackson, who has ballooned to 160 pounds, has been put on a regimen including jogging, power-walking and gym exercises by trainer Tony Martinez. Jackson hopes to reach her usual 120-pound plateau.
Justin Timberlake is adding his name to the Italian spot Destino’s in East Harlem.
MTV.com reports Timberlake is just an investor, but his presence has helped lure chef Mario Curko from Rao, a restaurant with a celebrity clientele, including Woody Allen and Tony Bennett. Destino’s is slated to open Feb. 9. Timberlake also is involved a dim sum eatery, Chi in Los Angeles.
Le Caprice, a popular London restaurant for celebrities, plans to open an eatery in New York. The New York Post reported owner, fashion mogul Richard Caring, is “going to open near 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue,” an insider said. Among the regulars at the London restaurant are Madonna and Sting.

Goldie’s little secret: sex and veggie juice
Goldie Hawn claims the secret to staying thin is plenty of sex and fresh vegetable juice. Hawn told Closer magazine her long-term partner Kurt Russell “thinks I’m a racehorse. And when you’ve got a racehorse, you’ve got to run it.” Hawn also credits her “green juice” regimen, made of celery, parsley, kale, peppers and carrot juice.
