The Colorado Rapids selected former University of Denver defender Liam Garrard and three others in the Major League Soccer supplemental draft.

The Rapids selected Garrard with the ninth pick in the second round, 21st overall. Garrard led DU in assists last season with six.

The Rapids first selected UCLA defender Jordan Harvey with the ninth pick of the first round. The Bruins won the 2002 national championship with Harvey, and won Pac-10 titles all four seasons he was there. Colorado also selected midfielder Keith Caldwell from Brown in the third round and Colorado Springs native Daniel Wasson in the fourth. Wasson, a midfielder/defender, first played for Air Force before transferring to Tulsa.
