The woman who ran a home child-care center where last month a 17-month-old boy was found wedged between a crib and a bed was charged Friday with one count of negligent child abuse causing death, a Class 3 felony with a penalty range of four to 12 years.
Addie Lee Perry, 61, on Friday turned herself in to court, where she was advised of the charge. She was released on a $50,000 personal-recognizance bond.
The boy, Zavion Brown, died at a local hospital when he was taken off life support. State officials had earlier ordered Perry to stop running a day care out of her Aurora home.
