The body of a former soldier, missing for the past two weeks, has been found at a sewage treatment facility at Fort Carson.
This morning, Fort Carson authorities identified the man as Joseph Barker, 21, of Tulsa, Okla.
He left the Army in May 2005. He’s been missing since February 8.
Barker served in the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team.
His body was found yesterday.
The incident is under criminal investigation by military authorities, the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office.
An autopsy is being conducted by The Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
