Alpine Access leader Garth Howard headed the privately held Golden call center company for just six months before dying unexpectedly Tuesday.
Howard was exercising in his home gym when he died, according to an unconfirmed report, company spokeswoman Stephanie Jones said. No one in Howard’s family was immediately available for comment.
Workers at the company are “devastated” by the loss, Jones said. Alpine’s more than 4,000 call center workers work mostly from home and were told of the death by e-mail, Jones said. The
“He was 51, very young, very healthy,” Jones said. “He was a runner and very active, so it’s just devastating, as you cam imagine, for everybody.”
