Getting your player ready...

While it’s tempting to believe Teva is the only game in town this week, Paonia-based Chaco footwear is making a splash of its own with the new ZX/1 and ZX/2 performance sandals (MSRP: $95-$105). Building on its tradition of custom-fitting, pull-through strap adjustability, the new ZX line incorporates a basket-weave design of two narrow straps for more finite adjustments. These latest models also are 25 percent lighter than previous Chaco sandals. The ZX/1 offers Chaco’s standard open-toed sandal fit, while the ZX/2 wraps around the big toe for an extra cinch. Chaco also has introduced two new outsoles in its performance line: the softer but ultra-sticky Diamond Stealth for avid climbers, paddlers and canyoneers, and the Vibram-hybrid Unaweep sole that combines trail-ready traction and durability.
