FURNITURE FOR PETS AND THEIR HUMANS: Art and animals go together like peanut butter and jelly at The Livable Home, 1521 15th St., a new LoDo decor store specializing in pet-friendly furnishings that marks its grand opening July 13-16. The store was the brainchild of interior designer Amy McCawley, who says she grew tired of falling in love with furniture that couldn’t accommodate her furry friends. McCawley says a home should reflect all its residents, including the pets, which is why her stock was hand-picked for its easy care and durability. The new store’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 4 p.m Sunday. A BED TO MAKE THEM HOWL: The makers of the Pet Waterbed System tout their product as having the same comfort and health benefits for pets that full-size waterbeds have for humans, namely deeper muscle relaxation and more restful sleep. The bed comes in three sizes and consists of a foam frame, water mattress, liner and insulation pad. Find it for $75 to $110 at creativebedrooms.com.
