No matter what anyone can say about BMW, good or bad, there is no denying the attraction of the brand.
Even when you drive the more pedestrian “3” Series, the one that mere mortals can aspire to afford,
you get knowing looks from people, some of whom have never even as much as
touched a BMW.
But when you are driving the “6” or “7” Series, the looks go
beyond knowing, and the comments are Right Out LOUD, even if the commentator
ends up not making a sound that would be audible on any recording device.
Sometimes “wow” can be just as loud, unspoken.
I got these two BMWs back-to-back, meaning that for two weeks I felt as
though I was a very rich man, indeed. Doors were held for me. My clothes
looked better. Women who wouldn’t normally give me the time of day gave me
glances that said, “11:15:33 a.m.”
