Getting your player ready...

Fort Collins – The last part of the playbook to be installed came Wednesday on the most important part of the field – inside the 20s – as Colorado State entered the two-a-day portion of training camp.

“Today was more of a learning situation. It makes it a little tougher on the players when you add the new stuff,” head coach Sonny Lubick said.

In limited situational scrimmaging, scoring was limited to second-team units, a Billy Farris pass to tight end Kevin McPeek and a 15-yard run by reserve running back Michael Myers.

The Rams will scrimmage again Saturday.

The interior line is thin since Matt Rupp (hamstring) is being held out. Line coach Karl Ballard said his goal in camp is developing depth. … Lubick, new athletic director Paul Kowalczyk and other coaches will address the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce kickoff luncheon today at the Hilton at 11:30 a.m.
