Denver’s first Square: The last standing Four Square by Denver’s first licensed architect is on the market for $1.1 million.

Real estate maven Dana Crawford is listing the home at 722 Clarkson St., owned for more than 40 years by longtime friend and psychoanalyst John Kelly.

Built in 1897, the 5,641-square-foot home was designed by Robert Roeschlaub, who also created the Dora Moore School and Trinity United Methodist Church.

Green machine: Harvard Communities is giving Segway Human Transporters to the buyers of its Architecture Collection series at Stapleton. It’s part of the company’s effort to encourage consumers to go green.

Homes in the Architect Collection are about 40 percent more energy-efficient than new homes built to current code, translating into utility-bill savings of at least $1,000 a year. They also generate about 16,000 pounds less carbon dioxide than a typical new home, the equivalent of one car driving 20,000 miles a year.

Theme parks: Themed parks are the centerpiece of Copperleaf, an 850-acre community off E-470 and East Quincy Avenue in Arapahoe County.

Cherry trees in President’s Park are a natural tie to George Washington, while a playground and Presidents Walk of Fame create an interactive environment for kids to learn and play.

Geology Park includes a rock-climbing wall and rock outcroppings; Prehistoric Park will include dinosaur climbers and fossils; and Ecological Park will feature a wetland preserve.

Home prices at Copperleaf range from $250,000 to more than $700,000.

High-country living: Steel is rising at JMJ Development’s $72 million boutique condominium project in Avon, with topping out expected in October.

The Gates Residences, near the entrance to Beaver Creek Resort, is expected to be completed in early 2008. Prices start at $975,000 for residences ranging from 1,268 square feet to 2,680 square feet.
