Sleek styling and cool musical options on Chocolate by LG could turn the new cellphone into an Apple iPod contender. Developed for Verizon Wireless, the slider-style phone sports a “look-at-me” touch-sensitive keypad with a fiery red glow. Plus, it can wirelessly download (and play) music purchased from Verizon’s V Cast online store. The model includes a 1.3-megapixel camera/camcorder, a slot for a microSD memory card and wireless Bluetooth technology. It also can access the VZ Navigator turn-by-turn voice direction service.
Measuring about 0.7-inch thick, the slender model costs $150 with a new two-year service agreement. V Cast songs cost 99 cents when purchased via a PC and $1.99 when downloaded directly to the phone.
