The Denver Botanic Gardens today announced Linda Greene as interim chief executive officer.

Greene formerly filled the role in 2002-2003 while the Gardens went through an organizational restructuring.

The board of trustees announced the appointment of Greene in the wake of former CEO John Scully, who stepped down in April for personal health reasons.

Greene will oversee the 2007 budget process and long-term planning and oversee all Gardens operations. She was formerly director of human resource operations at Xcel Energy.
