Fountain police said a double shooting on Wednesday night appeared to be a murder-suicide and identified the victims this morning as Rachelle Muniz, 20, and her estranged husband Steve Muniz Jr., 22.
At about 10 p.m., police received a 911 call about a shooting at a home in the 1300 block of Southmoor Drive. Upon arrival, they reported finding the couple dead on the back porch.
Rachelle Muniz had been staying with her grandparents at the Southmoor address during the couple’s separation, police said. The couple had two children 1 and 2 years old, who were not present at the time of the shooting.
