Britney Spears has registered for more baby gifts at Petit Tresor, the Los Angeles kiddie store for celebrities. Included on Spears’ wish list: a $1,200 chandelier for her new baby’s room. A source told MSNBC.com, “She’s having a baby shower soon and has told friends that they can order gifts from the site. It’s not like she’s expecting her friends to buy everything for the baby. She’s already spent like $30,000 at the store.”
Judging by the items Spears lists, many pink and frilly goodies, it looks like the pregnant pop star is having a girl.
New York state officials are providing $5 million toward the construction of a visitors center for the Louis Armstrong House Museum in Corona. The proposed 8,500-square-foot center will be built on an empty lot across the street from the Queens residence where Armstrong once lived, the New York Daily News reported. Queens College will raise an additional $4 million for the project. Armstrong moved to the home with his wife, Lucille, in 1943 and lived there until his death in 1971.
Rod Stewart spent nearly $6.5 million for a mansion in the south of France, where it’s believed he will marry Penny Lancaster. The New York Post reports the home overlooking Nice features views of the Mediterranean and includes a theater, gym, Olympic-size pool and a state-of-the-art nursery for the couple’s son, Alastair. Stewart also owns homes in Beverly Hills, Palm Beach and England.
Faye Resnick, whose claim to fame is that she was the best friend of O.J. Simpson’s slain wife, Nicole Simpson, has become an interior decorator, MSNBC
.com reported. Resnick’s high-profile clients include Nicky Hilton, who is opening two hotels, the Nicky O, in Miami and Chicago.
