Beyoncé Knowles usually is the model of decorum at parties, but the Destiny’s Child singer reportedly was caught extremely drunk at a recent after- party for her boyfriend, Jay-Z. According to

bangshowbiz.com, Knowles had too much champagne at London’s exclusive Mo*vida nighclub and had to be helped to her chauffer-driven car. One onlooker said: “Beyoncé is usually ultra-composed. … It was strange to see her make such a shaky exit.”

More drunken behavior: Ryan Phillippe finally admitted why he was jumping up and down, pumping his fists and screaming when his wife, Reese Witherspoon, won a Golden Globe in January (and later an Oscar). “At the Golden Globes I was plastered,” Phillippe told Rolling Stone magazine. “Shirley MacLaine and I drank like crazy, just putting away bottles of wine and making fun of everyone.” Oh, and we’re guessing Phillippe was happy for his wife too.

Drunkenness, part 3: Elizabeth Hurley held up a New York ferry for 20 minutes when she tried to board the boat from Liberty Island with a magnum of champagne and three glasses. Guests were told champagne was not allowed on the ferry back to Manhattan, but Hurley, 41, was the only person who ignored the rules, the Daily Mail in London reported. The ferry departed late when Hurley finally was persuaded to give up her bubbly.

Is Jessica Simpson’s manager-dad, Joe Simpson, planning to hook up with Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to open a Hooters-like barbecue restaurant called Daisy Dukes? Jessica’s rep denies the Life & Style Weekly report, but the magazine claims her dad is making the plans without her knowledge. “Joe’s going to make a lot of money from this,” a source told the mag, “and he didn’t even ask Jessica.” Daisy Duke is the character Jessica Simpson played in the widely panned 2005 movie “The Dukes of Hazzard,” a remake of the old TV series.
