A 24-year-old woman died Sunday night when the car she was riding in rolled over at a high speed.
The car, carrying four occupants, was northbound on South Wadsworth Boulevard when it rolled over and came to a stop in the parking lot of the Swedish Southwest Medical Center, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Amanda Locke, 24, of Golden, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. She had been sitting in the right rear passenger seat.
The three other occupants were treated and released with minor injuries. No one was ejected, troopers said.
The driver, Kevin Burnett, 45, of Littleton, has been charged with vehicular homicide, DUI and speeding.
Trooper spokesman Ron Watkins declined to say how fast the car had been traveling. He said the car rolled over several times, crashing into several trees, bushes and a large light pole.
