Why are you running? Trust in the “American Dream” has been shaken for many Colorado families. By providing good representation, I would like to help restore trust in that dream.
What are the top three challenges facing Colorado or the institution you seek to represent?
We must improve our public education system so that every child in Colorado will have access to the American Dream.
We must offer more affordable higher education so that our young people can be successful in the new global marketplace.
Creative solutions must be found to our health care crisis, including access to affordable health insurance, so that working families aren’t in danger of losing everything they have worked for because of a single health issue.
What is your top priority in the next session if you should win? I would change the current campaign finance laws that allow out-of-state interests to spend huge sums of money to “buy” seats on local school boards.
What proposal in the last session did you oppose the most? I opposed HB 1150 School Start Dates For K-12, which mandated statewide start dates and end dates for all Colorado school districts.
