An application to make the Hilltop neighborhood into a historic district passed through the Landmark Preservation Commission Tuesday.
The historic designation proposal includes some 500 homes.
Denver’s Planning Board also considered the application, but unanimously voted it down citing, among other things, the size of the district.
The proposal will now go to a City Council committee early next year.
