An Air Force nurse, the single mother of an 16-month-old girl, has been missing since Sunday, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office.
Stationed in San Antonio, TX, Nonnie Dotson, 33, and her daughter arrived at her brother’s house on West Unser Avenue last Thursday. On Sunday, she left her brother’s home around 11 a.m., allegedly to go shopping, and has not been heard from since. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt and black jeans.
“We are still doing our best to track down any kind of activity in her bank account, her credit cards, her cell phone,” said sheriff’s spokesman Jim Shires. “Obviously we’re looking for anything that might lead us to her.”
Dotson had been scheduled to report back to active duty in Texas on Tuesday. She is scheduled to be discharged from the military in March, 2007.
It could not be determined if she had served in Iraq. With her short time left in the military, it was not believed she faced deployment overseas when she returned from leave in Colorado.
Anyone with information about Nonnie Dotson is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office tipline at 303-271-5612.
